Stratforge One

Find your way around

This page is a quick tour of the Stratforge One console - where things are and what each part does. You don't need to read it cover to cover; skim it once so you know where to look when you need something.

The console at a glance

The console has two parts: a navigation menu down the side, and the main area that fills the rest of the screen. Selecting an item in the menu opens that section in the main area. On a phone or a narrow window, the menu tucks away behind a menu button at the top of the screen - tap it to slide the menu out, and tap any item to jump there.

The main menu

The navigation menu is your map of the console. Depending on what you're allowed to do, you'll see some or all of these sections:

  • Apps - the Stratforge products connected to your organization, and the catalog of products you can add.
  • Directory - the people in your organization and the groups you sort them into.
  • Organization - your organization's name, logo, and web address.
  • Security - how members sign in, including multi-factor authentication and single sign-on.
  • Billing - your spending, budgets, and bills.

What you see depends on your role. Admins and owners see every section above. If you're a regular member, you see only Apps - the products you've been given access to. The other sections are for people who help run the organization.

At the very top of the menu is the brand block - the product mark, its name and version, and a search box (see Search below).

Switching organizations

Lower down the menu, between the navigation items and your account menu, is a switcher showing your current organization, with its logo and name. If you belong to more than one organization, open it to move between them - selecting another organization takes you straight into it. From the same menu you can create a new organization, and, if you have the right access, view all the organizations you can reach.

The Stratforge products connected to whichever organization you're in always live under Apps.

The brand block at the top of the menu has a search box - "Search in Stratforge One". Select it, or press Cmd+K (Mac) / Ctrl+K (Windows) from anywhere, to open a command palette and jump straight to a section or action without hunting through the menu. When the menu is collapsed to a narrow rail, the search box becomes an icon button.

Where "Manage" lives for an app

To work with a specific product, go to Apps, open the app you want, and choose Manage. That's where an app's data policies, access controls, and settings come together in one place. See Manage apps for the full walkthrough.

The theme switcher

You can view the console in Light, Dark, or System mode. System follows your computer's own light-or-dark setting and switches automatically with it. Open your account menu at the bottom of the side menu and pick a theme from the theme options there. Your choice is remembered for next time.

Language

The console is shown in your preferred language. To change it, open **Your account** and set your preferred language there - it applies wherever you're signed in.

Your account menu

At the bottom of the menu you'll find your name and picture. Open it to reach Your account (your profile, language, and personal sign-in settings), switch the theme, open Help if you get stuck, or sign out.
